Hairnomicon: Communiqués from Beyond the Chair reimagines early spirit photography through humor and horror.

Set in New Orleans, the series follows a group of amateur spiritualists whose séance is disrupted by an unintended presence. The work draws upon manipulated nineteenth-century ghost photographs, occult cinema, and the instability of the photographic image.

A person with short hair looking downward, wearing a dark jacket with a zipper, and standing against a dark textured background.
A woman with shoulder-length hair, sitting on a chair against a dark background, holding a human skull, with a serious expression; a high-heeled shoe on the floor nearby.

Black and white photo of people sitting at a table and looking at their phones, with a large photograph of a woman's face on the wall behind them.
