About the Photograph
Continuing the dialogue with E. J. Bellocq’s photographs of women in Storyville, this work places fictitious sex worker within the history of the city. The reclining figure, obscured by flowers and layered beneath a distressed, almost decaying surface, collapses past and present.

Each print is produced to order using pigment inks on luster exhibition paper 300GSM. The image measures 11 × 16.5 inches on a 13 × 19-inch sheet, leaving a white border for handling and framing. Each print is inspected and signed on the verso. Sold unframed.
