About the Photograph
The second photograph in the two-part Casket Girls series, inspired by New Orleans’ Casket Girls legend and The Handmaid’s Tale. The series imagines orphaned girls raised by Ursuline nuns, sent to the colony as future wives, and transformed into vampires during the Atlantic crossing. In No. 2, their escape into the city as bats as they take to the sky for freedom leaving behind the futures that had been chosen for them.

Each print is produced to order using pigment inks on luster exhbition photo paper 300GSM. The image measures 12×15 inches on a 13 × 19-inch sheet, leaving a white border for handling and framing. Each print is inspected and signed on the verso. Sold unframed.

Ships flat in protective packaging. Allow 7–10 business days before shipment. Keep the print away from moisture and direct sunlight. Professional framing with UV-filtering glazing is recommended.
