A Memory of Fire
2023

This photograph was originally made in 2014 not long after moving to New Orleans. It has been a personal goal to make as unique an image as possible of St. Louis Cathedral, one of the most photographed locations in our city (for good reason). “A Memory of Fire” is a supernatural picture that exists both in the present and the past, documenting a site that was victim to two major fires, which nearly wiped the city out. The story goes that priests refused to ring the bell of the cathedral during the Great Fire of 1788 because it was Good Friday and thus disrespectful to their faith. The result was a loss of nearly the entire settlement. One could argue that our ghost stories begin here.

OPEN EDITION

Artwork reproduced on heavy weighted, cotton rag photography paper and retains the attributes and quality the artist has pursued for his all of work regardless of edition. These editions do not have a limit to quantity.

LIMITED EDITION

Limited edition prints are available only in small quantities and express the artist’s intent. The goal of the final image was to create a timeless work with a textured, watercolor painted appearance, which this photography paper displays perfectly. These photography prints are signed by the artist and packaged with a certificate of authenticity and individual serial number that is registered online.
