New LIMITED EDITION works now available

Thanks for following along my journey. The last year has been already felt a whirlwind. I’ve made a lot of new prints, completed multiple commissions, shown my work at my second exhibition produced within the New Orleans area and have done a massive overhaul of my website and store (maybe almost completed?). I’ll soon make a trip to see family and allow the air to clear before advancing to the next phase of my creative and career goals for 2023 but wanted to share that new releases will be announced on Thursdays.

I’ve made a slight turn in my themes, which works twofold: Firstly, cycles, the perpetuation of motion, energy and changing modes of existence has become a prevalent feature in my photography and artwork. Secondly, nature is the deity from which the fulcrum of these modes of existence rely. Many years ago I was in North Carolina when a friend shared a bag of psychedelic mushrooms with me. We and several others, were outside on his property sitting in a circle that encompassed a fire pit. After a while I was alone, watching the trees and observing the full moon move slowly across the cloudless sky.

A message from the trees and the moon synthesized in my mind through telepathy. They wanted to remind me that existence is a cycle. As trees die, so shall we until we are resurrected from our rotting flesh, through the soil to become flowers that are pollinated by bees. The effect of the mushrooms faded as the night joined morning to day and so did I onto the comfort of a bed.

That morning a violent thunderstorm swept through the Appalachian mountains while we sat on a comfortable, dry couch watching a movie. After the rain subsided, I returned outdoors to view the aftermath of the beautiful moments from the previous night. A tree that I had touched the night before had been felled by lightning. It was a beautiful tree, which made me feel sad of its passing but then I remembered the conversation with the moon and trees.

“See?”

As always, thank you for reading. The prices for limited edition prints have an entry price of about $150 for a 11x14. I hope that the work touches you even if you are unable to purchase one at this time.
